My Approach to Healing
Many of the clients I work with find themselves in a period of transition such as navigating changes in relationships, identity, family roles, or healing from experiences that have left them feeling stuck. These moments in life can bring up feelings of uncertainty, shame, grief, or self-doubt. They can also become powerful opportunities for deeper self-understanding and transformation. I have a background working with couples, the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals with acute mental health issues, those experiencing PTSD , new mothers, young adults and teens.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in meeting you where you are. I believe that healing begins when we are able to approach our experiences with curiosity rather than judgment. Together we may explore patterns that feel difficult to break, work toward building healthier boundaries, strengthen self-esteem, and learn how to listen to our emotions without feeling overwhelmed by them.
As a licensed art therapist, I incorporate creativity into the therapy process as a way of accessing emotions and experiences that can sometimes feel too complex or heavy to express through words alone. Art can help engage the mind, body, and spirit, allowing space for reflection, expression, and insight. I am also trained in EMDR and integrate trauma-informed techniques to support deeper healing. I also have a background in various holistic modalities and am able to integrate this knowledge into our work together when appropriate for your care.
Beginning therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you are already carrying a lot. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered in your own healing process. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you move through this chapter and into the next version of yourself.
